Should i get guild wars factions or nightfall?

i dont know what to get.. and also what is the best thing to be? for example asin, warrior ect. i really want to be an asin but i dont know if they hit high enough to kill bosses and stuff like that. but a warrior can get the elemental sword.. please help me decide. and what are the ups and downs of each one?
