Someone is trying to kill themself and blaming me for it?

a kid from my skl is now blaming me for him trying to kill himself but he said he was gonna do it and i tried to tlk him out of it, coz he likes this girl who he tells everything to she would blame her self if he killed himself and i said that then he sarts saying shutup i wernt gonna do it but now i want to and im thinking y would he blame me wen im trying to help him and why would he say he was gonna do it at first then later say he wernt gonna do it coz now i feel really bad but its sounds like he is attention seeking
