How do you post videos on youtube using pinnacle studios 12?

i have a dazzle and i am using it with pinnacle studios 12 to record videos of me playing games on my xbox to post on youtube. after i am done recording it says the video format is .avi and i can post that on youtube but thats not what i wanna do....when i go to edit the video and save it, it saves it as a format of .stx and you cant have those on youtube...format converters wont work...any solutions...i have the dazzle dvd recorder.
